Bejing Bars Told to Ban Black People at Olympics

What is this all about? We know that George Bush doesn’t care about black people, but the Chinese government has urged its local bar keeps to keep out undesirables with darker skin tones. In other words, black people need not enter. From the “South China Morning Post”:

Bar owners near the Workers’ Stadium in central Beijing say they have been forced by Public Security Bureau officials to sign pledges agreeing not to let black people enter their premises.

“Uniformed Public Security Bureau officers came into the bar recently and told me not to serve black people or Mongolians,” said the co-owner of a western-style bar, who asked not to be named.

The South China Morning Post is a legit paper according to Shanghaiist. These Olympics are being hosted by a country that still persecutes Tibetan monks, so this doesn’t surprise us.
