Barkley Being Sued by Wynn Casino in Vegas

Charles Barkely makes no apologizes for his “gambling addiction.” However, With Leather describes his recent $400,000 debt after a night of gambling at the Wynn. From the Las Vegas Sun:

Lawyers for Wynn Las Vegas declined to comment. But in its four-page lawsuit, the resort said it had extended four $100,000 markers to Barkley, two each on Oct. 18 and Oct. 19, that have not been paid back.

Barkley’s past words about his gambling addiction.

“But I’ve got to understand you can’t beat the casino,” he said. “You might win a lot of money from them, but in the long run they are going to win more money from you, and I’ve got to get to a point where I don’t gamble for as much.”

It’s a felony charge, but if he pays the tab, no charges will be filed. $400,000 is chump change for Barkely. I hope that this doesn’t hurt Barkely’s bid for presidency in 2020.

Barkley admits that he’ll now pay the penalty.

“My mistake,” Barkley said in an interview at a pro-am golf tournament in Hoover, Ala. “I’m not broke, and I’m going to take care of it.”

Here’s Frank Caliendo doing his Charles Barkley impersonation in front of Sir Chalres himself. Fastforward to the 50 second mark to bypass the George W. and Dick Cheney’s impersonations.
