Mike Piazza Retires His Moustache

Yesterday Mike Piazza retired after 16-seasons in baseball. He’ll go down as one of the best hitting catchers of all-time in addition to sporting one of the best handlebar mustaches of his era.

He was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers on the 62nd round of the 1988 amateur draft. His 396 homers are the top all-time mark for catchers over both Yogi Berra and Johnny Bench.

Deadspin sends him off in style.
