Adam Jones will not be suspended by the Cowboys for violating any code of conduct, and will play in the Cowboys game on Sunday. According to the ‘Boys, he was “horsing around” with his bodyguard, and there was no real altercation. Maybe the league will step in and suspend him. The SEC is so pressure-filled that Auburn fired its Offensive Coordinator after an anemic offense didn’t score in the 2nd half in the loss at Vandy. I think Coach Tommy Tuberville is finding a scapegoat, but the SEC definitely pays for keeps. I think the next fire in the SEC will be Steve Spurrier’s in the offseason. ESPN
A Tommy Lasorda Biopic is in the works to be produced by Miramax. Did anyone see “Righteous Kill” Pacino and DeNiro’s first movie since “Heat?” I didn’t think so. I’m much more intrigued by James Gandalfini playing Sonny Vacario in an HBO film based on Sonny’s life. Sports by Brooks
