Jets vs. Titans

Sunday features the most intriguing match-up in the NFL, with the undefeated Tennessee Titans taking on Brett Favre and the New York Jets.  Yes, this is a great game, the Titans used to be the Houston Oilers, coached by Buddy Ryan, and the N.Y. Jets were once a doormant 1980’s franchise QB’d by Ken O’Brien.

In the honor of the 1980’s and those cool cats mentioned above, here is Nice N’ Smooth with a kicking jam.  If you weren’t around in the late 80’s or early 90’s for Yo! Mtv Raps, then skip to the Stone Nudes post.

Kenny Mayne’s Mayne Street, Funnier Than Expected

I went into the new ESPN web series, Mayne Street with some apprehension that Mayne would pull off a funny show.  However, to his credit, the show is entertaining.  Scott Van Pelt should win a Webby or some internet award as best supporting actor, in the series.  I hope the show continue its comedic trajectory and I will definitely tune in for by bi-weekly dose of Mayne Street.

It feels just like asshammer!

This is classic.  Not to be confused with the WWF song Piledriver, Matt Stairs hit the game-winning home run and made an amazing quote.  It’s a great juxtaposition of words.

Craig Sager Wears Electric Suits and Tells Amazing Ted Turner Stories.

This video speaks for itself.  Ted Turner is the man, and Craig Sager is a great mouthpiece.

P.S.  Sorry about the domain being down the last few days.  We’re starting to host the blog on a server, and also joining a blog network, so things will look much better soon!

Hockey Mom Gets Boo’ed by Joe Six Packs in Philly

Sarah Palin dropped the puck at a Philadelphia Flyers’ NHL hockey game and was horrifically booed by the Philly fans.  These are the same group of people who booed Santa Claus and cheered Michael Irvin getting carted off the field on a stretcher.  I can think of a more cheerful crowd the Republican campaign could have lined her up to drop the puck in front of.  Not the smartest p.r. move for the repubs.

End Zone for Sale

Some wealther Texan will ultimately pay $500,000 for the end zone.

“It includes VIP treatment for the last regular season Cowboys game in Texas Stadium. Your crew gets pre-game photos in your zone with Jerry Jones, a luxury suite for the game, and a once-in-a-lifetime post-game tailgate party on your soon-to be new backyard (with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, no less). There’s also autographed memorabilia from Cowboy legends, and a VIP package to attend the opening of the new stadium in 2009. Better yet, the Jerry Jones family and the Cowboys organization will generously donate the entire purchase price to The Salvation Army.”
